Highs and Lows
I entered this season doing exactly what I planned on doing. Getting on the podium early to hopefully send me to the Olympics. I've been going through December like I had nothing in the bank - but I'm very glad I did because it's been a ride.
Val Thorens, France was only a top 31 finish after an Italian colleague/friend put me into a fence at 40mph. Rubbing is racing though. I followed that result with a few greedy moves that didn't pay off, and left me with a disappointing result in Montafon, Austria. But like everything in life, there are highs and lows.
Today was qualification day in Cervinia, Italy. It's gorgeous here, and I'm racing right underneath the Matterhorn. I'm back on the right track, and feeling fast. I was the top American qualifier, and 3rd fastest in time trials today. Everything is feeling good heading into tomorrow, and I hope to share another great result with you.
I hope you all have a great holiday break and get to spend quality time with loved ones. See you in 2018!
